Preferring to approach music more as art than artefact, the lineage of experimental music to which he was exposed under Smalley’s tuition is a continuing motivation toward the exploration of colours, sound synthesis and synergy between disciplines. This exploration has led Norman to collaborate, perform and release music under many guises, often with critical acclaim. |

In 2004 he co-founded the record label 100m Records as a platform for his collaborations and as a means to fulfil an ongoing interest in showcasing new and underground music. In 2007 he published his first collection of poetry, Death Of Romance And The Future Of Now. At present he is based in New York City where he is working as a photographer, collaborating on new projects, and finalising his first album-length release for his solo work, Iamprimate. |

“I am intrigued by the mix of sensitive and intimate with something more cerebral, even metaphysical… The welcoming with the confrontational… The clash of opposites. I feel that only in the paradox can you find something both immediate and unknown.” |
